Richard Hollington
Richard Hollington is a founding principal and President of RHA | Ray + Hollington Architects. Mr. Hollington, an alumnus of Rice University, has over 25 years of extensive professional experience ranging from religious and civic architecture to higher education and school design; space planning and interiors to commercial projects and master planning. He has served as a visiting instructor at the University of Colorado at Denver and Rice University, teaching sustainable design studio and “Architecture for Non-Architects" courses, respectively. The firm's office is housed in a 1949 MacKie and Kamrath Architects building at 4916 Main Street in Houston's Museum District. The structure was designed originally to house Weldon's cafeteria. Approximately 5000 SF of the cafeteria was renovated in 1999 to serve as the office for RHA. The renovated space provided Houston Mod the perfect venue for their first annual post-lecture reception. In addition, Mr. Hollington has recently directed the restoration efforts of the one-time Byrd's mid-rise department store in downtown Houston as a mixed-use development |
