Don Browne is a longtime collector and dealer of 20th century decorative art and design. His area of expertise is mid-century design in furniture, tableware and barware. He has organized and curated two design exhibitions which featured objects from his collections, Mid Century Modern Revisited, Design: 1943-1953 (Brazos Projects, 2004) and The Hour: Cocktail Time Design (Lawndale Art Center, 2008).

His interest in modern design led to an ongoing appreciation for modern architecture. He is currently restoring a 1959 modernist house and leading an effort with neighbors to establish a historic neighborhood preservation designation from the City of Houston for his neighborhood, Glenbrook Valley.
