Unknown home plan magazine, 1950s
Comments:According to Gil Thweatt, this was the first home started in Memorial Bend. Thweatt and his family moved in on August 15, 1955 - one of the first residents of the Bend. Thweatt originally selected the lot for the home after having modified a William Floyd home in Tanglewilde. Before the streets or utilities were in, Floyd allowed Thweatt to pick any lot in Memorial Bend
Architectural Comments:Originally, the front wall extended past the home (as it does today) and along the patio to create the illusion of a much larger home. It appears that an addition has been made to enclose the patio area and enlarge the house.
