Chasing Perfection: An Exhibit on Legendary John S. Chase, FAIA, NOMAC

Houston Public Library events are free to the public

The Houston Public Library exhibition CHASING PERFECTION: The Work and Life of Architect John S. Chase is at The Julia Ideson Building; and a supplemental exhibition, CHASING PERFECTION:The Legacy of Architect John S. Chase, is at The African American Library at the Gregory School. Shuttles will run between venues from 6-8 PM.

In 1950 John Chase became the first African American to enroll in the UT at Austin School of Architecture; and subsequently was the first African American licensed to practice architecture in the state of Texas. Chase’s list of accomplishments are long, and he had a distinguished career in Houston, Texas and beyond.

The exhibit will be on display through June 2, 2018.
