From The Houston Architectural Guide by Stephen Fox: `When I. S. Brochstein designed this building for his custom wood-working plant, South Main Street was the undisputed axis of Houston’. With its civic attributes – the streamlined central pylon and ceremonial reflecting basin – Brochsteins still defers to Main Street`s honorific status.

This stunning building is well worth the visit and quite possibly one of the top three maintained Art Deco buildings in Houston.
