Set on a public street on a corner lot across the street from Rice University, architect David Red smartly set the front door around to the side of the house. Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic style weighs heavily on the two story home. The most notable feature of the house is that it originally had sod on a section of the roof, making it an early example of “green architecture”.
