This building designed for Gerald Hines was Harwood Taylor’s first essay in highrise living. The exteriors were staid but the plans were well organized. On the top levels there were expansive two-story studio apartments with outdoor terraces and the requisite fallout shelter was tucked away in the basement. Landscaping of the one acre site was by Fred Buxton and interiors were by Lenora Detering.
