This stately home stands on Pine Hollow Drive, one of the finest residential streets to find examples of modernism in Houston. It is the last of the great mid-century modern designs of Preston Bolton, one of Houston’s most important architects.

The Bolton House is a one-story with very high ceilings. Much of the house has skylights to provide an airy, outdoor feeling to the house. The home has central sitting areas flanked on one side by bedrooms and on the other by the kitchen and dining rooms. To the rear of the property is a beautiful “Bayou Bend” like view of Buffalo Bayou. The flooring is terracotta tile throughout the house. Exposed brick columns are also found through the house.
