Rice Museum and Media Center
2030 University Boulevard
The Rice Museum was designed and built in a matter of months on what was then the far edge of Rice University`s campus to house the monumental Museum of Modern Art exhibition ‘The Machine`, in March 1969. Built as temporary structures intended for eventual demolition, they have been used by Rice students for 35 years. Michael Graves` Master Plan for Rice University of 2002 shows a blank space where the buildings currently stand.
