This is one of several modern homes in Briargrove. Of the few modern homes that were built in this mostly traditional 1950s neighborhood, even fewer still remain. Two of the modern homes located in Briargrove that were mentioned in Stephen Fox`s book, HOUSTON ARCHITECTURAL GUIDE have been demolished (6131 Meadowlake, 6243 Olympia) and replaced with larger homes.
This home seems like it uprooted itself, walked right out of the Memorial Bend neighborhood (where William Floyd designed many houses), and sat itself down in Briargrove.
