of architects, our neighborhood has been the home to those who have helped shape the city of Houston.

- Earle S. Alexander, Jr. FAIA - Noted architect, co-founder of Pierce Goodwin Alexander & Linville and past president of the Houston AIA
- Tom Bullock, FAIA - Noted architect, co-founder of Caudill, Rowlett and Scott and past president of the Houston AIA.
- William Wayne "Bill" Caudill, FAIA - Noted architect, author and co-founder of Caudill, Rowlett and Scott and a Gold Medal winner from the American Institute of Architects
- Al Fairfield - Homebuilder and founder of Luxury Living Homes
- John Davenport - Emmy award-winning TV journalist and moderator of Washington Week in Review
- Kiki DeAyala - All-SWC Longhorn football defensive standout who went on to play football in the NFL and USFL.
- Howard W. Edmunds - Co-founder of Memorial Bend Development Company and the developer of Memorial Bend, Memorial Forest, Memorial Pines and other Houston subdivisions
